MITCHELL — The countdown is underway for one of southern Indiana’s most beloved fall traditions, and the 2026 Mitchell Persimmon Festival Guide is now available to help residents and visitors plan their week of festivities.
The free guides are being distributed through local businesses and community partners throughout Lawrence County and surrounding communities. The guides are supplied by Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK, 102.5 Litefm and 1340 WBIW and are available while supplies last.
The 2026 Mitchell Persimmon Festival will take place Sept. 19 through Sept. 26, featuring daily events, food booths, live entertainment, contests, family activities and the festival’s traditional Grand Parade.
With activities taking place throughout the entire week, festivalgoers need to pick up a guide early to make sure they do not miss the events they want to attend. The official festival guide provides a complete schedule of activities, entertainment information, maps, contest details, and other helpful information to make navigating the festival easier.
