DUBOIS COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an intersection closure for State Road 64/162 in Dubois County.
Beginning on or around Thursday, July 30, crews will close the intersection of State Road 64 and State Road 162 near Bretzville.

This intersection closure will allow for on-going intersection improvement work. This phase of construction is expected to last through August 4, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this closure for State Road 64 is U.S. 231 to I-64 to State Road 37. The detour for State Road 162 is I-64 to U.S. 231. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
This project is part of planned intersection improvement, with the installation of a roundabout at S.R. 64 and S.R. 162. Work on this improvement is anticipated to be completed in October, depending on the weather. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
