Daviess Community Hospital donates over $7,300 to United Way of Daviess County

WASHINGTON — Daviess Community Hospital has announced a total donation of $7,364 to the United Way of Daviess County, capping off a successful collaborative fundraising effort driven by hospital staff and leadership.

The financial contribution was generated through a combination of direct employee payroll pledges, targeted community fundraising events, and a significant matching contribution from the hospital’s executive team. Hospital staff raised $2,364 out of the total, while the Daviess Community Hospital administration provided an additional lump-sum contribution of $5,000 to bolster the campaign.

Representatives from the hospital formally presented the check to the United Way of Daviess County during a presentation ceremony on Wednesday, July 15.

According to hospital officials, the funds are earmarked to help support local health, education, and financial stability programs that address critical community needs throughout the county.

“Daviess Community Hospital is committed to improving the health and well-being of our community, both inside and outside our walls,” hospital leadership said in a statement following the presentation. “We are incredibly proud of our employees’ generosity and are glad to partner with the United Way to help support vital services for our neighbors.”
