BLOOMINGTON — The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce has announced a new addition to its signature event, officially integrating the Best Places to Work Awards into its upcoming Annual Meeting & Community Awards.

Presented in partnership with Amplify Bloomington, the Best Places to Work program is designed to recognize and honor local organizations that actively make Bloomington a strong, rewarding, and vibrant place to work.
Originally launched by The Mill alongside the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation and the Herald-Times, the initiative celebrates employers who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to workplace culture, employee satisfaction, and fostering a positive overall work environment.
How It Works: The Selection Process
The Chamber is calling on community members to help recognize organizations that are investing heavily in their teams and strengthening the local workforce. The selection process follows a two-step evaluation:
- Nominations: Community members and employers can submit nominations for deserving organizations.
- Employee Surveys: Once the nomination window closes, the nominated organizations and their employees will be invited to complete comprehensive internal surveys.
The data and feedback collected from these employee surveys will directly determine which organizations officially earn the title of Bloomington’s Best Places to Work in 2026.
Nomination Criteria & Timeline
To qualify for the awards, the nominated organization must meet the following criteria:
- Chamber Membership: The nominee must be an active member of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.
Nominations are officially open now and will close strictly on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Local residents and businesses can submit their nominations today via the Chamber’s official nomination form.
