BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington Utilities has published its 2026 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), providing customers with information about local drinking water quality and data from tests conducted during 2025. The annual report is required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Safe Drinking Water Act and is intended to help customers better understand the quality, sources, and treatment of their drinking water.

Bloomington’s drinking water met all federal standards for safe drinking water in 2025. The report details any regulated contaminants detected in Bloomington’s drinking water during 2025, including disinfectant by-products (DBPs) and total organic carbon. Nearly 80 additional potential contaminants were tested for and not detected, and are therefore not listed in the report.
Because this report contains water quality data collected during 2025, it does not reflect the restoration of fluoridation that occurred in January 2026. Future fluoride monitoring results will be included in subsequent annual drinking water quality reports.
In addition to the annual report, the City provides data about drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater through its Open Data Portal. For drinking water, datasets include current and historical information about lead and copper, organic matter, and disinfection byproducts. The data portal also includes information from the EPA’s Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR) program, which found no detectable PFAS, commonly referred to as “forever chemicals,” in Bloomington’s drinking water.
