Outdoor ‘Fitness in the Park’ series launches second session at Switchyard Park this Friday

BLOOMINGTON — Area residents looking to stay active and enjoy the summer weather have a local opportunity to do so, as Parks and Recreation prepares to kick off Session II of its popular “Fitness in the Park” series this Friday, July 3.

The drop-in fitness classes are held twice a week on the Switchyard Park Main Stage. The program is designed to accommodate various schedules and fitness levels by offering both midday and evening options.

The weekly class schedule includes:

  • Mondays (7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.): Tai Chi
  • Fridays (Noon – 1:00 p.m.): Beginning Yoga

Registration and Pricing Details

Session II classes will run from July 3 through August 24. Participants have the flexibility to pay as they go or sign up for the entire block of classes.

Admission options include:

  • On-site Drop-in: $10 per class
  • Full Session Pass: $60
  • Twin Lakes Recreation Center Members: Free

Because the classes are held outdoors, organizers note that sessions may be cancelled or moved indoors if inclement weather arises.
