SHOALS — East Fork Water, Inc. has issued an immediate boil water advisory for residents on Spout Springs Road, Gun Shop Road, and surrounding areas following a recent disruption in water service.
The order takes effect immediately today, June 29, 2026, and will remain in place for the next several days until testing confirms the water is safe and further notice is given.
To ensure public safety, East Fork Water advises all impacted customers to strictly follow these safety protocols:
- Boil Water Thoroughly: Bring all water to a vigorous boil for at least three minutes before consumption. Allow the water to cool before use, and store it in a clean, covered container in the refrigerator.
- Intended Uses: Boiled or bottled water must be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, diluting fruit juices, and all other food preparation.
- Alternative Options: Bottled water is highly recommended as a safe and convenient alternative during this period.
Officials from East Fork Water, Inc. are actively working to resolve the issue and will notify the community as soon as the boil order is lifted.
