Richard L. Norman, 52, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Born September 20, 1973, in Bedford, he was the son of Clyde Edward and Mary Jane (Denem) Norman. Richard graduated from Mitchell High School. He graduated from Ivy Tech with an associate’s degree in surgical technology.
He worked as an office manager for Sandlin Law Office and later as a Surgical Technologist at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Richard married Lynn Harold Knox on November 15, 2014, and he survives.
He was the co-owner of Star City Thrift on the square in Bedford. Richard loved shopping, fashion, jewelry, his three dogs, and his family and friends.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Clyde “Ed” and Mary “Jane” Norman; husband, Lynn Knox; sister, Melissa (Trevor) Pittman; nieces, Ariel (Kendrick) Popa, Lela Stargel, and K.D. Hudson; several great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts and uncles, Juanita (Amos) Keith, Shirley Earl, and Linda (Michael) Gibbs; three dogs, Brutus, Tico, and Wilbur; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy; niece, Amber; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Limestone Chapel of George Funeral Care, 527 15th Street, Bedford, with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Limestone Chapel.
