Main Street Mitchell to host ‘Food Truck Wednesday’ to kick Off July Festivities

MITCHELL — Main Street in downtown Mitchell is gearing up for a patriotic, community-wide culinary celebration just ahead of Independence Day.

Officials announce that the town will host Food Truck Wednesday on July 1st. The event is scheduled to run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering a full day of diverse dining options for local workers, families, and visitors.

The mid-week community gathering will bring four popular regional food trucks directly to the heart of downtown. The scheduled culinary lineup features a mix of savory barbecue, classic grilled favorites, specialty beverages, and coffee:

  • Bubble Tea Barn: Serving up custom, refreshing bubble tea flavors from their signature pink truck.
  • 812 BBQ: Bringing local, slow-smoked barbecue favorites to the street.
  • The 250 Grill: Offering classic grilled specialties and comfort food.
  • Blue’s Cafe Go: Providing a mobile station for coffee, café beverages, and light bites.

The event is positioned as a kickoff to the nation’s birthday week. Organizers are encouraging residents to step away from their regular routines, support independent mobile food vendors, and gather with neighbors.

Under the banner of “Good Food, Good Times, Great Community,” the overarching mission of the mid-week rally is straightforward: “Come hungry. Support local. Celebrate America.”
