INDIANA — The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) is calling on residents across 18 specific counties to report property damage resulting from a multi-week onslaught of severe weather, high winds, and torrential rains that struck the state between June 9 and June 21, 2026.

State officials are utilizing Indiana 211 to build a comprehensive statewide damage assessment. Hoosiers who sustained property damage are asked to call 866-211-9966 or submit a report online via the Indiana 211 website.
The data collected through this initiative will allow IDHS to calculate total damage estimates and determine the next steps for state or federal disaster recovery resources.
Eligible Counties by Storm Date
At this time, only residents in the following counties who were impacted by these specific storm systems should submit reports through Indiana 211:
| Storm Date | Activated Counties |
| June 9 | Harrison County |
| June 11 | Carroll, Elkhart, Huntington, Lake, and Porter counties |
| June 16–18 | Jefferson, Monroe, Owen, Putnam, and *Clay, *Jackson, *Scott counties |
| June 21 | *Daviess, *Gibson, *Knox, *Sullivan, *Warrick counties |
*Note: Indicates new county activations added since the state’s June 19 update.
Important Exceptions & Alternative Reporting
State emergency officials have noted specific protocols for damages that fall outside of traditional residential property:
- Agricultural & Farm Damage: All crop, livestock, or agricultural infrastructure damage should not be reported to 211. Instead, they must be reported directly to the resident’s local USDA Farm Service Agency. Farmers can find their nearest office by using the online USDA locator tool.
- Other Counties: Residents living in counties not listed above who experienced storm damage should reach out directly to their local county emergency management coordinator to document the destruction.
