MITCHELL — Powerhouse country vocalist Sydney Adams will bring her traditional, Appalachian-rooted sound to the historic Mitchell Opera House for a live performance on June 13, 2026. Doors for the evening concert are scheduled to open at 6:15 p.m.

Hailing from Southeast Kentucky, Adams has drawn critical comparisons to legendary regional predecessors like Loretta Lynn and Patty Loveless. Her musical journey began in early childhood, leading to public performances by her early teens and songwriting by age 15. She gained widespread regional attention following the 2018 release of her debut single, “I Don’t Care”.
A seasoned touring artist, Adams has previously shared stages and supported major country and bluegrass acts, including Ricky Skaggs, Craig Morgan, Jo Dee Messina, Tracy Lawrence, Dean Carter, Ward Davis, Sunny Sweeney, and Erin Enderlin.
The upcoming local event is sponsored by Hoosier Uplands, a Mitchell-based organization that has been active since 1966. Consistent with the organization’s regional policy, all associated services and events are hosted without regard to sex, race, color, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, ancestry, familial status, or veteran status.
General admission tickets are priced at $25 for adults and $13 for children aged 12 and under. All seating inside the venue is arranged on a first-come, first-served basis.
Electronic tickets can be purchased in advance at mitchelloperahouse.com or through the event’s direct Humanitix listing. Standard tickets are also available for purchase with cash or check at the ACE hardware location in Mitchell. Remaining tickets will be sold at the venue’s box office on the night of the show, where cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted.
Organizers note that the Mitchell Opera House is fully handicap accessible. To preserve the integrity of the historic auditorium, outside food and beverages are not permitted in the seating area.
