Gloria Dawn (Beadle) Dalton passed away in Bloomington, Indiana, on May 17, 2026.
Gloria was born on November 22, 1937, as an only child, to Dorothy May (Beadle) Henderson and William Albert Henderson in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Davis High School in Portland.
Gloria married Clarence (Pete) Dalton Sr. in March of 1957 and was married for 53 years until Clarence’s passing in March of 2010 at age 73 years. Gloria retired from RCA in Bloomington as a union member after working 27 years.
She treasured frequent large family gatherings with her children and grandchildren and welcomed any extras, as she had a very loving heart. She loved playing BINGO, where she was generally lucky. She was a champion pinochle player and enjoyed bargain shopping at yard sales.
Gloria was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints of Bedford.
Gloria is survived by four of her five children: Cheryl Robbins and her husband Jim, Robert Dalton and his wife Kathy, Kathleen Baker, and Donnita Bell and her husband Zendell, all of Bedford, Indiana.
Her eldest son, Clarence (Corky) Dalton Jr., preceded her in death in November of 2011, with daughter-in-law Lydia Palm of Utah surviving.
Gloria leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Her first grandchild, H. Baker III, preceded her in death at the age of 3 months.
A graveside service will be held at Cresthaven Cemetery and Memorial Gardens in Bedford on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11 a.m.
