BEDFORD — A local teenager is facing felony drug charges and multiple misdemeanor counts after an investigation into underage drinking at a Bedford hotel led to the discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Sadie Foddrill, 18, of Bedford, was arrested late Saturday night, May 16, 2026. She faces preliminary charges of possession of cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, furnishing alcohol to a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Bedford Police Officer Taylor Daugherty, the incident began at approximately 11:49 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn following reports of underage drinking.
Upon arrival, hotel staff directed officers to room 212, noting that two young females had requested extra towels earlier in the evening. Officers made contact with four juveniles inside the room. The occupants informed police that a male juvenile and Foddrill had paid for the room, but were currently outside in a vehicle parked in the hotel lot.
Officers located Foddrill and two male juveniles sitting inside a white 2018 Jeep Renegade. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers detected the odor of alcohol and observed several open alcoholic beverages in plain view in both the front and back seats.
While Foddrill and one juvenile passenger tested negative for alcohol on a portable breath test (PBT), a probable cause search of the vehicle was initiated. In the rear passenger seat where Foddrill had been sitting, officers located a black bag. Inside, they discovered a white box containing a mirror, a digital scale, and a hollowed-out pen—all coated with a white powdered substance.
The investigation circled back to the juveniles associated with the hotel room. While some tested negative, one female juvenile tested positive for alcohol consumption and explicitly informed officers that Foddrill had supplied the alcohol and transported them to the hotel.
When questioned by police, Foddrill allegedly admitted to bringing Crown Royal whiskey to the gathering and told officers it was stored in the room’s refrigerator. Officer Daugherty subsequently located and confiscated the alcohol for destruction.
After being read her Miranda rights, Foddrill admitted to purchasing the alcohol and openly disclosed to officers that she was hiding cocaine on her person.
According to the affidavit, Foddrill informed officers the contraband was hidden in her bra. A subsequent search revealed a small, clear plastic baggie containing a white powdered substance. Foddrill also reportedly acknowledged that the drug paraphernalia found in the vehicle’s white box would test positive for cocaine.
The juveniles at the scene were systematically released into the custody of their legal guardians or provided courtesy rides home, with parents fully briefed on the situation.
Foddrill was transported to the Lawrence County Jail for housing.
The recovered substances field-tested positive for cocaine, and all physical evidence was processed into lock-up inventory.
