Bedford’s TASC bus service limited to essential travel only on Tuesday

BEDFORD — Passengers utilizing the Transit Authority of Stone City (TASC) bus service will face localized service restrictions tomorrow.

TASC Director Dennis Parsley announced Monday morning that the transit service will operate on a strictly limited schedule for Tuesday, May 19, due to unexpected personal reasons.

During this temporary disruption, bus service will be restricted to essential travel only. According to transit officials, essential trips are defined as:

  • Transportation to and from employment.
  • Transportation to and from scheduled medical and doctor appointments.

Parsley emphasized that all existing ride requests that have already been scheduled for Tuesday will be fully honored. However, the dispatch office will restrict any new, same-day ride requests strictly to doctor appointments and other emergency essential travel.

Normal transit operations are expected to resume following the disruption tomorrow. Passengers with immediate questions regarding their scheduled routes or eligibility are encouraged to contact the TASC transit office directly.
