GREENE COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 59 in Greene County.
Beginning on or around Wednesday, May 20, crews will close State Road 59 in Linton. This closure will occur at the railroad crossing on S.R. 59.
This lane closure will allow for an emergency railroad crossing replacement project. This work is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is State Road 67 to State Road 54. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones.
