Ivy Tech Bloomington supporters donated more than $36,000 on Ivy Tech Day

BLOOMINGTON Ivy Tech Day on April 21 brought support for the more than 11,000 students at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. During the college’s fourth annual day of giving, alumni, friends, employees, and partners gave $36,476 from 120 gifts. Every dollar raised stays local and benefits Bloomington campus students and the communities it serves.

Statewide, Ivy Tech had its most successful giving day yet and raised a record $614,446 from over 3,100 donations. Since the start of Ivy Tech Day in 2023, the college has raised more than $1.7 million. Ivy Tech Day contributions fund the area of greatest need at each of the college’s 19 campuses across Indiana, powering workforce development and supporting the state’s economy.

“The generosity of all of our local donors and sponsors makes a real difference in the lives of students and will have a lasting impact in the region,” said Erik Coyne, Chancellor, Ivy Tech Bloomington. “We’re grateful to our supporters for helping us remove barriers to education so we can continue to deliver exceptional service to our communities.”

Funds raised go toward student support initiatives, including scholarships, programs, and emergency funding. The Bloomington campus offers approximately $160,000 in scholarships each year to help students pay college costs and complete their education.
