BEDFORD – North Lawrence Community Schools and Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Centers will host a special presentation regarding online safety on Thursday, April 23. The workshop is scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bedford Middle School Schafer Auditorium, located at 1501 N Street. This event, sponsored by Crane Credit Union, is designed for parents and guardians to receive actionable advice from trusted child safety advocates.
The program will provide insights into the challenges and risks children and teens face online, including threats involving gaming services, cyberbullying, and artificial intelligence deepfakes. Attendees will learn about techniques and technology to help support children and will receive a resource guide containing tips and links. The presentation aims to help guardians understand the latest online threats and exploitation groups to help protect children.
