Final Call: Last-minute entries wanted for 56th Annual Orleans Dogwood Parade

ORLEANS With the 2026 Dogwood Festival in full swing, local organizers are making a final push for participants to join one of the region’s most beloved traditions. Last-minute entries are still being accepted for the 56th Annual Orleans Dogwood Festival Parade, scheduled for this Saturday, April 25th.

In honor of the nation’s upcoming milestone, this year’s parade theme is “Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom: America 250 (1776-2026).”

Parade Day Timeline

Participants will gather at the Orleans High School, which serves as the official staging area.

  • 11:00 a.m.: Line-up begins
  • 1:00 p.m.: Line-up concludes; Judging of units begins
  • 2:00 p.m.: Parade officially kicks off

The “Hometown Parade” will travel down Maple Street (State Road 37 S.), cutting through the heart of the historic downtown area. Spectators can cheer from the sidewalks as units pass the main reviewing stand before the route concludes at the Orleans Christian Church on West Jackson Street.

Parking is strictly prohibited along the main parade route starting early Saturday morning and will remain closed until the event concludes that afternoon. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes through the downtown area.
