COLUMBUS – On Thursday, April 9th, more than 100 Bartholomew County residents will join together for a people-centered, non-partisan Town Hall in Columbus for the lead-up to the May 5th Primary Election Candidates for State Senate 41.

All State Senate candidates have been invited to attend, and Senator Greg Walker (R) and Candidate Ross Thomas (D) have both confirmed their attendance. Senate District 41 encompasses all of Bartholomew County and a portion of Southern Johnson County.
By bringing everyday people from all walks of life together with their elected officials and candidates of multiple parties, this Town Hall is a part of building a new, more accountable politics by and for the people. At the Town Hall, Bartholomew County residents will share their experiences and ask the candidates questions about key community issues impacting their lives and the future of Hoosier families, including:
- Affordability
- Public education
- Mental health and addiction
- Housing
- Healthcare
- Childcare
Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit their own questions as a part of a moderated Q&A.
The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbus, 7850 W Goeller Rd, Columbus, IN 47201
