LOOGOOTEE — The City of Loogootee is bringing a fresh flavor to the weekend with the launch of Food Truck Fridays, a new weekly community event set to begin on April 10, 2026.

The festivities will take place every Friday throughout the season from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Railroad Street Pavilion. The event is designed to create a lively outdoor dining and shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.
A Taste of the Region
Organizers have curated a diverse lineup of food trucks to ensure a wide selection of choices for every palate. Attendees can expect everything from classic American comfort food to sweet treats.
Confirmed Food Vendors include:
- Big Boy’s Burgers & Whitey’s BBQ (Savory staples)
- A Taste of Joy & Sweet Dough & Co. (Local favorites)
- Spill the Tea with Mama Z (Refreshing beverages)
- Sweet Celebrations, LLC & Tracy Lynn’s Candies, Etc. (Desserts)
Supporting Local Artisans
Beyond the food, Food Truck Fridays will serve as a weekly marketplace for the region’s creative community. Local artisans and makers, such as Creations By Crystal and Crafted House, will be on-site offering handmade goods and unique shopping opportunities.
Call for Vendors
While the schedule is already filling up with local talent, organizers noted that a limited number of spots remain available for interested food trucks or craft vendors.
Those looking to join the weekly rotation are encouraged to reach out to the event coordinators, Brittany Potts at 812-709-8830 or Tracy Stoll at 812-709-0498.
The city hopes this weekly gathering will become a staple of the spring and summer seasons, encouraging foot traffic in the downtown area and providing a consistent platform for small businesses to thrive.
