Mitchell library to host discussion on native plants and invasive species

MITCHELL — The Mitchell Community Public Library will host an educational presentation on native cultivars and invasive species on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

A specialist from the State of Indiana Cooperative Invasive Management (SICIM) will lead the discussion. The program is designed to provide residents with information about plants native to the area and offer practical strategies for better managing and protecting local natural spaces from invasive species.

This session follows a series of community-focused environmental and educational programs hosted at the library this spring. No prior registration is required for this event.
