ORLEANS — The Orleans Town Council is calling on all residents and business owners to roll up their sleeves for the annual “Town-Wide Spring Clean Sweep Week,” officially underway beginning today through March 28.
The initiative aims to beautify the town as spring arrives, encouraging the community to clear out clutter and dispose of unwanted items that have accumulated over the winter months.

To assist with the cleanup, the town is providing two primary ways for citizens to discard refuse:
Town crews will be circulating throughout the week to pick up large items of discard directly from residential properties.
A large dumpster has been staged at the Orleans Town Garage for resident use throughout the week.
While the town aims to be as helpful as possible, some restrictions on types of materials accepted will apply. Residents are encouraged to verify specific item eligibility before hauling items to the garage or placing them at the curb.
Residents seeking clarification on pickup schedules or restricted items should reach out to the town directly by calling 812-865-2539 or online at www.town.orleans.in.us
By participating in “Clean Sweep Week,” the Council hopes to foster a sense of community pride and ensure Orleans remains a clean, welcoming environment for all.
