BEDFORD – The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County will host its first-ever Stirring Up Great Futures fundraiser and cooking competition, inviting local organizations and businesses to form teams and compete in support of local youth.
According to the Boys & Girls Club, participating organizations or businesses will form small teams and work together to raise $1,000 in support of club programs serving kids and teens throughout Lawrence County. The club said it will provide guidance, ideas, and resources to help teams meet their fundraising goals.
The cooking competition will take place on April 18, when teams will prepare a dish and compete for awards and recognition while supporting local children and teens. No professional cooking experience is required to participate.
The Boys & Girls Club stated that the event is designed to be engaging and impact-driven, and to build camaraderie while showcasing participating organizations and businesses.
