Chef University spring break program planned for grades 3–5

PAOLI Purdue Extension Orange County will host CHEF University, a hands-on cooking and nutrition program for youth in grades three through five, during spring break on March 16 and March 17.

The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at the 4-H Fairgrounds Block Building. CHEF University will offer hands-on lessons in healthy cooking, kitchen skills, and international foods, with participants encouraged to attend both days.

According to program information, youth will prepare recipes, explore food science, learn about nutrition, and try new cooking techniques. The cost is $15 for current and approved 4-H youth and $30 for youth who are new to 4-H. Registration and payment are due by March 6, and space is limited, with a minimum of 10 participants required.

The program is supported by the Orange County Community Foundation Inc. and the Smithville Charitable Foundation.
