MITCHELL — Burris Elementary School invites third-grade parents to an IREAD-3 Parent Information Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Burris Cafeteria and will cover key information about the IREAD-3 assessment, including updates to state law tied to the exam.
School officials said the discussion will include the state’s new retention requirements. Under the law, students who do not pass IREAD-3 may be required to repeat third grade unless they qualify for a Good Cause Exemption.
Parents of students who will take IREAD-3 this spring are encouraged to attend.
