Registration open for Indiana 4-H day at the statehouse

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana 4-H members in grades 7–12 are invited to take part in a unique civic leadership experience during the 2026 Indiana 4-H Day at the Statehouse. The event will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis, with an optional overnight stay available the evening of Feb. 9.

During the daylong program, youth will gain hands-on exposure to how state government works. Participants will tour the Statehouse, learn about Indiana’s legislative process, meet with state legislators, and engage in breakout sessions alongside fellow 4-H members from across the state. Opportunities also include serving as legislative pages and connecting with Indiana 4-H Ambassadors, all while representing 4-H in a professional, formal setting.

The tentative schedule runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST), and business attire is required. The cost to participate is $25 for youth delegates and $25 for educators or chaperones. An optional overnight stay at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Feb. 9 is available for an additional $25, with space limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adult volunteers are also needed to assist with chaperoning and transportation. This is an opportunity for adults to support youth leadership development and civic engagement.

Statewide participation is capped, and registration will not be expanded due to space limitations. The deadline to register is Jan. 30, 2026. Those interested in attending or volunteering are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
