Lawrence County SWCD plant sale spotlight: anise hyssop featured native plant

BEDFORD – Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation District is highlighting anise hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) as part of its 2026 Native Plant Sale—a popular native plant known for its tall purple blooms and pollinator-friendly benefits.

Anise hyssop typically blooms from June through September, grows to about 3 feet tall, and does well in full to partial sun. It’s a great option for gardeners looking to add native color to flowerbeds while supporting local wildlife.

Residents can order early for the best selection, as the plant sale order deadline is March 27. Order forms are available at the Lawrence County SWCD office, located at 1919 Steven Ave., Bedford, or by calling 812-279-8117 ext. 3.
