Families with young children are invited to celebrate National Popcorn Month with a special January Storytime at the Mitchell Community Public Library. The themed storytime will take place on Wednesday, January 14, at 11 a.m. and is designed especially for children ages 5 and under.
The popcorn-themed program will feature stories all about everyone’s favorite crunchy snack, along with hands-on activities to keep little learners engaged. Children will enjoy a fun craft, explore a sensory bin, and sing along to the popular popcorn scarf song that has become a Storytime favorite.
Storytime at the Mitchell Community Public Library focuses on early literacy, creativity, and sensory exploration, while giving families a relaxed and welcoming environment to learn and play together. No registration is required, and families are encouraged to “pop” in and join the fun.
