4-H Scholarship help offered at Seymour High School in January

BROWNSTOWN – Students preparing scholarship applications will have an opportunity to receive personalized guidance during upcoming 4-H Scholarship Help Educator Office Hours hosted by Purdue University Extension – Jackson County.

The sessions will be led by 4-H Educator Brier Ryver, who will be available to assist students with every step of the scholarship process, from identifying eligibility requirements to refining and strengthening application essays. The office hours are designed to support students who may feel overwhelmed by the application process or unsure where to begin.

Scholarship help will be available on January 12 and January 16, 2026, from 1:30 to 1:55 p.m. during SRT at Seymour High School. While the sessions are 4-H-focused, Ryver is also available to help students explore and apply for other scholarships they may qualify for.

Students are encouraged to come prepared with rough drafts of essays, scholarship application materials, or a laptop to access online resources. Those who have not yet selected a specific application are still welcome; assistance will be provided to identify appropriate scholarships.

Purdue University Extension notes that accommodations or interpretation services are available upon request, and students needing assistance should contact Brier Ryver in advance.

These office hours provide a valuable opportunity for students to receive one-on-one support and build confidence as they work toward funding their future education.
