BEDFORD — Young science fans will get a hands-on look at the forces behind some of nature’s most powerful events during an upcoming Bedford Public Library program.
The library will host “When Nature Strikes” on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at 4 p.m. The program is geared for children ages 6–12 and will be led by Cindy. Participants will explore the science behind extreme natural phenomena such as avalanches, blizzards, tornadoes and tsunamis, then run simulations to better understand what causes these disasters.

Library staff say the session is a good fit for kids interested in meteorology, climatology, or anyone who simply enjoys interactive, “how it works” science.
Registration is required. To sign up, visit the library’s event calendar at https://bedfordpl.librarycalendar.com/event/when-nature-strikes-1214. The program will be held at Bedford Public Library in Bedford.
