IWU Chorale performance at Museum of Bible in Washington D.C. to be live streamed for free

MARION – The Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) Chorale will perform live at Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. presented by the Gospel Music Association. “Everlasting Light: The Story of the Humble King” is a part of the museum’s candlelight concert series and will be livestreamed for free on Saturday, December 20th, at 7 p.m. ET.

A 60-voice ensemble led by Davy Chinn, Chorale will represent the finest level of performance in choral music live at our nation’s capital. The evening will include a tapestry of timeless congregational Christmas carols and hymns from artists Anthony Evans and Megan Woods elevated by the IWU Chorale alongside a world-class orchestra, band, and joined by special guest Kaleb Carson. Songs have been arranged by world-renowned orchestrators and producers Phillip Keveren and Jared Haschek.

“This performance is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase the musical strength of our university and extend IWU’s impact,” said Chinn. “We are thrilled to be joining such high-caliber performers in lifting up Jesus’ name this Advent season.”

This concert is the latest highlight in the stalwart collaboration between IWU and Museum of the Bible. Last year, IWU became the exclusive academic sponsor of the museum’s World Stage Theater, which hosts more than 150 events annually, including “Everlasting Light.”

“Our Museum of the Bible partners have been incredible friends as we continue in our mission of changing the world by developing students in character, scholarship, and leadership,” said President of IWU Jon Kulaga, Ph.D. “This performance is an occasion to look back at an entire year in friendship with the museum as we celebrate the birth of Christ together.”

While Museum of the Bible is covering production costs for the performance, the IWU Chorale is fundraising to cover its travel expenses. The Chorale has already made significant progress in meeting its goal.
