BLOOMFIELD — As holiday shopping ramps up, residents looking to stay on budget will have a chance to pick up practical financial strategies during Curb the Urge to Splurge: Holiday Edition, a free workshop offered by Purdue Extension at the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library.

The program will take place Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the library’s Community Room. The session focuses on helping participants recognize common marketing tactics and develop personalized spending plans to avoid seasonal overspending.
In addition to the financial guidance, attendees will have the chance to make take-home holiday gifts and enjoy light refreshments.
Library staff and program organizers encourage anyone preparing for holiday shopping — or hoping to stretch their budget a little further — to attend.
