FREE financial workshop coming to Mitchell: “Where Does Your Money Go?”

MITCHELL — For anyone who has ever wondered why their paycheck seems to disappear faster than it arrives, Purdue Extension–Lawrence County is offering a free, two-session workshop designed to bring clarity, confidence, and control back to your finances.

The program, Where Does Your Money Go?, will be held at the Mitchell Community Public Library on December 10 and 11 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. The workshop is completely free, but participants are encouraged to register by December 9.

The sessions focus on practical, real-life tools to help individuals and families take charge of their spending. Attendees will learn how to track expenses, build a realistic spending plan, identify saving opportunities, and reduce financial stress through simple, proven strategies.

Purdue Extension educator Rebecca Payne will lead the program. Payne says the workshop is designed to be interactive and accessible for anyone, whether they’re new to budgeting or simply need a reset heading into the new year.

Registration is available by calling Purdue Extension Lawrence County at 812-275-4623 or by emailing rrpayne@purdue.edu. Participants may also contact the extension office for questions or accommodation needs.
