BEDFORD — Bertha’s Mission will host its annual free Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 2 to 5 p.m., offering warm meals and fellowship to anyone in the community. Meals will be served at two locations: First Baptist Church of Bedford, 1515 20th St., and Jacob Finger United Methodist Church, 139 N. 8th St. in Mitchell.
The dinner is a long-standing tradition for Bertha’s Mission, which operates year-round to provide meals and support to those in need. Volunteers, churches, and donors from across the county come together each year to help prepare and serve a full holiday meal, ensuring everyone has a place to enjoy Thanksgiving.

The event is open to all, and no registration is required. Families, individuals, and anyone looking to share a meal or company are welcome to attend.
For many in the community, the dinner has become a holiday highlight — a place where neighbors gather, kindness is shared, and no one is left to celebrate alone.
