BEDFORD — The Bedford Street and Sanitation Department is providing leaf collection throughout the month of November for residential addresses within city limits. Crews will use the leaf vacuum truck and will visit each neighborhood on the same day as regular automated trash pickup, and no work order is required.
Residents are asked to rake leaves to within three feet of the curb for collection. Leaves should not be placed in the roadway or on sidewalks to keep storm drains clear and maintain safe pedestrian access. Leaves should also not be bagged, as the vacuum equipment can only collect loose piles.
