Bedford Planning Commission to review rezoning, subdivision requests Tuesday

BEDFORD — The Bedford Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 4 p.m. in the City Concourse at 1402 H Street to consider several rezoning and subdivision requests that could shape future housing developments in the city.

The agenda includes three preliminary hearings. There is a request to rezone property at 1613 E Street from B2 (business) to R2 (residential) to build a new home. The property currently contains an older home in poor condition that the owners intend to demolish.

Another request comes from Chili Red Investments LLC, who seek to rezone several parcels at 2535 39th Street from I2 (industrial) to R3 (multi-family residential) to allow for the construction of apartment buildings.

The third hearing involves Bedford Development LLC, which is proposing a minor subdivision of parcel #47-06-15-200-012.002-010, located at the northeast corner of John Williams Boulevard and Bellback Road. The proposal would divide the land into two separate lots. Travis Norman is listed to speak on the matter.

No old business is scheduled for discussion, and the meeting will conclude with an open discussion period.

The meeting will be livestreamed for the public on the City of Bedford’s Facebook page and YouTube channel at facebook.com/bedford.in.gov and youtube.com/@CityofBedford-812/streams.
