BEDFORD – Grab your paddles and rally your friends—pickleball is back in Bedford! The Bedford Parks Department is thrilled to announce the second annual Pickleball Tournament, happening Saturday, October 25th at Wilson Park. After last year’s success, this tournament is shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and even more competitive.
The action kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with the Coed Division, followed by the Women’s Division at 11:30 a.m., and the Men’s Division at 3:00 p.m. Each bracket will be split into three skill levels—2.0/2.5, 3.0/3.5, and 4.0/4.5—ensuring fair and exciting matchups for every team. With a maximum of 8 teams per division, competition will be fierce, and every game counts.
This year’s format includes double elimination with a three-game guarantee, giving players multiple chances to show off their skills. All games will be played to 11 points, win by 2, adding to the intensity and drama of each rally.

Registration is open now, with an entry fee of just $30 per team. Teams looking to double up and play in two brackets can do so for only $45. And the stakes are high: each winning team will walk away with TWO $50 Amazon gift cards and medals from the Parks Department!
“We are so excited to bring this back and give it another shot this year,” said the Parks Department. “Pickleball has exploded in popularity, and this event is a great way to bring the community together for a fun, competitive day. Spread the word and tell a friend to get their game face on!”
Players must sign up by Tuesday, October 22nd, by contacting the Parks Department at 812-275-5692 or visiting their office at 1625 Q Street.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of Bedford’s fastest-growing sports tradition. Whether you’re chasing the gold or just in it for the fun, this year’s tournament promises to be an unforgettable showdown on the courts!
