BEDFORD – The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County is gearing up for another exciting season of youth basketball, and registration for the 2025–2026 season is now open. Families across the community are encouraged to sign up their players early to secure a spot in one of the county’s most popular athletic programs.
Pre-K participants can register for just $35. This instructional-only program ensures that every child gets hands-on experience, learning the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment. Young players will practice together as a group each week, gradually advancing into scrimmages as the season progresses.
For children in kindergarten through 12th grade, registration is $60. Scholarships are available to ensure that no child misses out due to financial need, and families are encouraged to contact the Club at info@bgclc.org or call 812-279-6123 at least three days before the registration deadline to learn more about assistance options.

Important dates are quickly approaching. Registration closes on November 7 at 11:59 p.m. Skills assessments for players in 2nd through 12th grades will take place on November 10 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Practices officially begin on November 13, with exact days and times determined by each coach. Games start December 1, with Pre-K through 3rd grade competing on Saturdays, while 4th through 12th grades will play on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. The season is scheduled to run through February 13, weather permitting.
Volunteer coaches play a vital role in the success of the program, and the Club is calling on parents and community members to step up and make a difference. Coaches will receive 50% off their child’s registration fee and the opportunity to mentor young athletes both on and off the court.
Registration is now available online at bgclawco.org/basketball, where families can also find the Parent Portal for easy sign-up. For additional information, call 812-279-6123 or email athletics@bgclc.org.
The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County remains committed to providing safe, structured, and positive activities for youth, and the basketball program continues to be a cornerstone of its mission. This season promises to bring even more energy, teamwork, and growth for kids across the county.
