The day begins with the City-Wide Yard Sale at 8:00 a.m., where residents will fill driveways and sidewalks with hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered. Bargain hunters and collectors alike will have a field day finding deals while enjoying the community spirit that comes with this cherished tradition.
Downtown, the heart of the festival will come alive with the Persimmon Market from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Shoppers can browse booths featuring local vendors, artisans, and persimmon-themed products that highlight the unique flavor and creativity of Lawrence County.
Cooking enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Dutch Oven Extravaganza from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where cast iron skillets and kettles will be put to work creating delicious, old-fashioned dishes. The mouthwatering aromas will fill the air as skilled cooks showcase pioneer-style meals and treats.
Art lovers can stop by the Fine Arts Entry from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., where local creativity takes center stage. From paintings and drawings to unique crafts, it’s the perfect chance to admire the talent of Lawrence County’s artists.
Families will want to head over to the MHS Soccer Field on Hancock Avenue from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for EMS Day. Children can explore fire trucks, ambulances, and other emergency vehicles while meeting the local first responders who keep the community safe. It’s a fun and educational opportunity for kids to learn while experiencing the excitement of climbing aboard lifesaving equipment.
In the afternoon, adorable takes center stage at the Baby Contest at Burris Elementary School at 2:00 p.m. Friends, family, and festivalgoers will cheer as the youngest community members shine in this always-popular event.

As evening approaches, the festival’s most magical tradition returns with the Candlelight Tour at Spring Mill State Park from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Guests can step back in time to the 1800s as the historic Pioneer Village glows under the warm light of candles. Tri-Kappa Sorority members and their families bring the village to life with costumed interpreters, live demonstrations, and an atmosphere that captures the charm and simplicity of early American life. Add in the crisp autumn air, live folk music, and seasonal treats, and it becomes an unforgettable experience. Park gate fees apply: $7 for Indiana residents and $9 for out-of-state visitors.
