BEDFORD — The Becky’s Place Run for Hope 5K will kick off Thanksgiving morning with a family-friendly race on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at the Downtown Depot, 1401 J St. The event begins at 9 a.m. and welcomes runners, walkers, and spectators of all ages and abilities. Proceeds benefit Becky’s Place, which helps women and children move from homelessness to stability.

This year’s race features a $25,000 matching grant from an anonymous foundation. Every dollar raised through the Run for Hope will be matched, doubling the impact for the women and children served by Becky’s Place.
Participants will receive finisher medals, and optional race shirts are available for $5. The event will be professionally timed by ABTiming. Awards will be presented to top finishers in the following age groups: 17 and under, 18 to 29, 30 to 44, 45 to 59, and 60 and older.
Online registration is open through Friday, Nov. 21, and is available here. Race packets may be picked up at the Bedford Chamber of Commerce from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, or at the Downtown Depot on race day from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
Organizers encourage families to lace up and join the community for a morning of movement and gratitude while supporting a mission that offers hope and safety to local women and children.
Tune into WBIW’s Talk of the Town on Monday, October 6, at 8:35 a.m. as Becky’s Place joins the show live to fill the community in on the Run for Hope and ways to support them in their endeavor to improve the lives of local disadvantaged women and children.
