Bloomington Chamber’s 110th Annual Meeting & Community Awards set for September 11

BLOOMINGTON — The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce will mark its 110th Annual Meeting & Community Awards, presented by Old National Bank, on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Monroe Convention Center. The event runs 5 to 8 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. for a cocktail reception, dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the program at 6 p.m. The venue is 302 S. College Ave. in Bloomington.

The Chamber says the evening will feature a year-in-review of initiatives and member achievements, along with a look ahead to priorities in the coming year. Jeff Baldwin, last year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, will deliver the keynote address.

Honorees announced in advance include Heartwork Brewing as New Business of the Year and Stonecroft Health Campus as Business of the Year. Master Rental will receive the Community Anchor award in recognition of its long-term support of the local economy and civic life.

The Chamber’s “4 Under 40” awards will recognize Anne Lloyd of Indiana University; Jordan Davis of The Chocolate Moose; Melanie Vehslage of the Youth Services Bureau; and Sydney Zulich of Bloom Magazine for professional excellence and community leadership.

Outstanding Educator awards will go to Kristina Cowden of Edgewood Intermediate School, Angie Evans of the Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship, Dee Minnick of Edgewood Early Education Center and Ashley Sotomayor of Summit Elementary School. Sandra McGow of Bell Trace Senior Living will be honored as Ambassador of the Year for volunteer service advancing the Chamber’s mission.

Cary Curry of Curry Auto Center will receive the Lifetime Achievement award, capping the program’s slate of top honors.

The Chamber will also announce the “Best of the Best” Business After Hours host, as voted by members who attended events from September 2024 to August 2025.
