BEDFORD — The Lawrence County 4-H Council will host its annual meeting on September 8 at 7 p.m. in the Expo Hall on the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The evening will include updates on the past year, the election of new council members, and an opportunity for attendees to share feedback and suggestions on the 4-H program. Committee meetings will follow a short presentation and voting session.

This year, three council seats are open. Purdue Extension officials encouraged community members interested in running, or nominating someone, to contact McKayla Padgett at padgett1@purdue.edu or 812-275-4623.
The council is also seeking community input on the Lawrence County 4-H Fair through an online survey at https://forms.gle/nJJZk8Be4a5EPv79A.
Organizers emphasized the importance of community involvement in strengthening the 4-H program. “Serving as a council member is a great way to make an impact,” they said.
The event is free and open to the public.
