SHOALS — The first Shoals Grocery Grab event is scheduled to take place tonight at Bo-Mac’s parking lot in Shoals.
The community initiative was created in response to the closing of the local grocery store. According to organizer Todd Baker, the event will offer a variety of items to help residents avoid having to travel outside of Shoals for essential supplies.
The Grocery Grab will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All Shoal residents are encouraged to attend and support the community effort. Organizers hope to continue the event until a new grocery store moves into town.
Officials thank Richer Farms LLC for helping this inventory list grow for the first Grocery Grab.
