BEDFORD — Runners and walkers are invited to lace up for the annual Limestone Capital Half Marathon, which will take place on Saturday, October 4th, starting from the Downtown Depot at 1401 J Street.
The event, which also includes a 5K and a one-mile race, offers a full day of activity with a focus on community and running. Online registration is open now and will continue through October 3rd at https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/Bedford/LimestoneCapitalHalfMarathonand5K. While day-of registration is available, participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure race-day perks.
To be guaranteed a race day T-shirt, participants must register by August 30th at 11:59 p.m. The deadline for a personalized runner bib is September 28th at 11:59 p.m.
The day’s events will kick off with the National Anthem at 7:50 a.m., followed by a special introduction for Ainsley’s Angels at 7:55 a.m. The Ainsley’s Angels race will begin at 8 a.m. The half marathon starts at 8:05 a.m., with the 5K following at 8:10 a.m., and the one-mile race at 8:15 a.m. A picture for one-mile participants is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. at the photo backdrop.
The event also features a “School Challenge,” and officials have confirmed that all sign-ups, including those on race day, will be counted toward the challenge.
Awards for the 5K are set to be presented at approximately 9:10 a.m., with the half marathon awards to follow.
