Bloomington offers free live music and outdoor movies throughout August

BLOOMINGTON – Summer entertainment in Bloomington is set to continue with a full calendar of free live music and outdoor movies throughout August, presented by Visit Bloomington.

The Performing Arts Series will feature local musicians with free concerts at various city parks, including Switchyard, Bryan, and Peoples Parks, as well as Hopewell Commons.

While all concerts are free, attendees are encouraged to check the Facebook page or call the Community Events Hotline at 812-349-3754 for the most up-to-date information, as schedules are subject to change due to weather.

In partnership with Cicada Cinema, the Movies in the Parks Series will also offer two screenings in August:

  • August 1: Enjoy a showing of “American Graffiti” (PG) at Bryan Park Pool. Pool admission is $7, with the pool opening at 8 p.m. and the movie beginning at 9 p.m.
  • August 23: Catch “Wild Robot” (PG) at Bryan Park. This screening is free for all and starts at 8:30 p.m.
