BEDFORD — Mayor Sam Craig has released a video reminder from the Bedford Street & Sanitation Department, urging residents to schedule pickups for any items that cannot be placed in their regular weekly household trash toters.
To arrange a special pickup, residents must call 812-279-9222.
The department emphasized that some items cannot be accepted, including paint, combustible materials, construction debris, toilets, and car batteries. Residents are advised to call first to confirm if their items are eligible for pickup.
When leaving a message, residents should include their name, address, and a detailed description of the items they need hauled away.
