BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Visit Bloomington, is presenting a robust 2025 Performing Arts Series, offering a diverse lineup of free concerts, outdoor movies, and live performances throughout the summer and early fall. The series aims to provide accessible entertainment for residents and visitors across various city parks and venues.

The musical offerings span multiple genres and locations, with acoustic sets from artists like Emma Richards at Peoples Park and soul acoustic rock from Richard Groner. Bryan Park and Hopewell Commons will host acts such as Limestone Nomad, West Fork Revival, and Low Landers, featuring contemporary bluegrass, Americana, and folk sounds. Switchyard Park will showcase talent including Audrey Rose and Lenox Monroe, alongside performances by the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, Bloomington Jazz Orchestra, and the Bloomington Community Band, bringing classical and jazz to outdoor stages.
Complementing the live music, the “Movies in the Parks” schedule features family-friendly classics and new releases. Screenings include Honey, I Shrunk the Kids at Switchyard Park on July 25, American Graffiti at Bryan Park Pool on August 1 (with pool admission), and Wild Robot at Bryan Park on August 23. The series also plans a sing-along version of Wicked at Bryan Park in September and Ernest Scared Stupid at Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park in October.
Performances are scheduled at various times, primarily in the late afternoons and evenings, continuing through September and into October. For more information, you can visit this link.
