Daviess Community Hospital sustains water damage during severe storm

WASHINGTON – Daviess Community Hospital experienced water damage on Thursday following a severe storm that impacted the area. The majority of the damage was concentrated on the hospital’s first floor.

Hospital officials confirmed that immediate response teams were deployed to address the situation, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all patients, visitors, and staff.

As a precautionary measure, outpatient MRI and CT scan appointments scheduled for Friday morning, July 19th, were canceled. The hospital stated that all affected patients were contacted directly to reschedule their appointments.

Importantly, no other inpatient or outpatient services were disrupted by the incident, and the hospital continues to operate normally for all other services.

Damage assessments are currently underway to determine the full extent of the impact and necessary repairs. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
