CELESTINE – Hoosier Hills Marina is set to be officially welcomed into the Indiana Clean Marina Program by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) during a special ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, July 17, at 2:00 p.m. EST.
The event will take place at the marina, located at 10306 E. Lick Fork Marina Road, Celestine. Representatives from both IDEM and Hoosier Hills Marina will be present. Following the ceremony, attendees will have opportunities for photos and a facility tour, highlighting the improvements and features that enabled the marina to qualify for the program.
The Indiana Clean Marina Program is a collaborative effort designed to protect the state’s inland and coastal waterways. It aims to reduce potential environmental impacts associated with marinas and recreational boating, involving IDEM, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, marinas, boatyards, yacht clubs, and recreational boaters.
