Purdue Extension to host UAV technology program in Bedford

BEDFORD – Purdue University Extension will host an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Technology Program on August 7-8, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds, located at 11265 US-50, Bedford.

The two-day course, costing $200, is designed to prepare participants for UAV pilot certification. No prior experience is required. The curriculum will cover essential topics including FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Test preparation, flight instructions and practice flights, camera settings, image quality and troubleshooting, flight plans and record keeping, data management, and sensors and artificial intelligence.
